Essential Items for Dorm Living

As the new school year begins, many students are preparing for dorm living. The transition into dorm life can be challenging, but being well prepared with the essentials will make it much easier.

Shower Caddy and Flip Flops

Showering in a shared space is a whole new experience. A shower caddy and waterproof flip-flops are two shower essentials. The former will make it easy to carry your things between your room and the bathroom. The latter will keep your feet clean and bacteria free in the shower.

Personal Items

The more you can customize your dorm room, the better you’ll feel living there. Bring your favorite sheets and comforter, a plant for your desk, posters of your favorite bands, or whatever makes you feel at home.

Snacks

A lot of College dining halls have limited hours. So, the more can prepare for those late study sessions, the better. Find your local, go-to grocery spot and keep your room stocked with snacks. Not only will this be convenient, but it will keep the late-night munchies at bay!

Storage Containers

Space will certainly be limited in your dorm, so it’s helpful to stay as organized as possible. Find out what you can about the space ahead of time and look for storage containers that can fit under the beds or stack neatly in a corner.

Drive-In Theatre Tips

The drive-in movie theatre is a classic summer activity for families, dates, or a night out with friends. But, if you’ve never been before you might not know what to expect. Use these drive-in theatre tips to ensure the best experience during your visit.

Call Ahead for Details

Before you head to your local drive-in, it’s a good idea to call ahead to get the scoop. Most drive-ins only take cash at the concessions or at the gate, which will be good to know. Thinking of bringing your dog? You’ll want to ask about that, too, since pet regulations differ depending on the theatre.

Arrive Early

Like regular movie theatres, the seating at drive-in theatres is on a first-come, first-serve basis, only the seats are in or around your vehicle. Get to the theatre early to ensure a good spot for your car.

Bring Entertainment

If you’re arriving early as recommended, be sure to bring a few things to keep everyone occupied before the movie starts. This could be books, Frisbees, or other outdoor games.

Bring Outside Gear

It’s perfectly okay to sit in your car for the duration of the movie, and if your car is comfortable you may prefer it. It is nice, however, to bring other seating options as well, like lawn chairs. If you plan to bring outside seats, you’ll also want to bring a portable radio so that you can tune into the station that’s playing the sound for the movie, and you may also want some blankets or pillows for added comfort.

Last Dodge Challenger SRT Demon Rolls Off the Line

When it comes to supercharged power, the Dodge performance lineup is one of the most impressive. Now, however, we have reached the end of an era with the last Dodge Challenger SRT Demon coming off the assembly line at the Brampton Assembly Plant in Ontario, Canada.

Production of the Challenger SRT Demon was limited to just 3,300 units and just one model year. After the last model left Brampton, it went on to an upfit center. There it got a hand-painted Viper Red exterior color and Demon badging. As well as, a one-of-a-kind VIN instrument panel badge, 18-inch aluminum wheels, and 18-inch Demon radial tires.

What’s Next?

The last Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and the last 2017 Dodge Viper will be auctioned off as a pair. The two will be auctioned off in “The Ultimate Last Chance” at the Barrett-Jackson Northeast Auction held June 20 – 23.

All the proceeds from the auction of this pair of supercars will go to the United Way. The auction will be held at the Mohegan Sun Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut. The winner will get to take home the 840-horsepower 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and the 645-horsepower 2017 Dodge Viper — two of the most powerful street-legal cars in the country.

In a 2014 auction, a 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, VIN0001, was auctioned by Barrett-Jackson for $1.65 million. Wow!

If you’re not able to make it to the auction, you can still check out and test drive the incredible lineup of Dodge vehicles at Weimer Chrysler Dodge Jeep® Ram.
